Grand Theatre Wolverhampton - Standing Tall

The theatre's community team needed help to showcase the work they do to promote the arts within the community.

What did we do?

The Grand Theatre Wolverhampton are true champions of theatre. They are always looking to strengthen their community engagement. During Panto season, a huge model giant was installed in the lobby stairwell of the theatre to coincide with ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. The clothing for the giant was made by a number of community groups. The giant itself was made by the art students at Smestow School. We went out with the Theatres Community Education team and documented the whole process through video and photography.

We worked with Depict Creative on two projects recently and on both occasions were fantastic. They are friendly, approachable, creative and professional. They delivered exactly what we gave them in the brief. Both projects included working with groups and individuals with special needs which provided certain filming challenges, however, they managed these requirements sensitively and still managed to produce a fantastic final product. The final videos and images for the two projects are superb and will be utilised by the Theatre for promotional purposes and in grant applications for a long time to come.
