Gigafast Staffordshire
Developing the brand identity for the next step in Staffordshire Councils Gigafast broadband rollout.
The Challenge
We had previously worked with Staffordshire County Council on their high-speed broadband rollout. That 10 year programme was known as Superfast Staffordshire. As technology and transfer speeds improved, the next ten years of the programme was to evolve into Gigafast Staffordshire.
The challenge was to develop a brand that encapsulated that progression whilst continuing to provide the same level of help, advice and knowledge to the residents and business of Staffordshire County.
The Gigabytes
We updated the original characters that were used to promote the scheme. Previously they were 2D vector based illustrations; but with the upgrade to Gigafast, we felt that they needed to be more ‘modern’. So a reboot was needed and we began the task of 3D modelling the characters.
Website Upgrade
Again, as part of the upgrade to the scheme branding, we redesigned the website to carry all the information that businesses and residents would access. The website is a hub of information and advice about broadband options and offers help and advice on switching to higher speed connection. On top of this there are also valuable resources for people who may need a little bit of help and training when it comes to immersing themselves in the digital world.
